Interview with @LilSoujaSlim3

At what age did you decide to become an artist?

The year after the death of my pops was my first attempt to write a rap, i was about 8 years old. It didnt really become serious to me until i was about 17 and now im 19.

Name a few of your biggest influences in hip hop?

Growing up my biggest influences in order were Soulja Slim, Juvenile, Boosie Bad Azz, Kevin Gates, and Lil Phat.

What are some of the things you’re working on right now?

I release Life of a Soulja 2 Mixtape in April. Right now im working on a whole bunch at 1 time i have the release of Life of a Soulja Documentary, I'm filming Life of a Soulja 2 Documentary, Working On The Release of Ghetto Children Compilation, filming for a feature in New Orleans hip hop artist Currency's short film revolver, and i plan to release 2 more solo CDs before the years is out U Gon NO and Soulja Slim Reincarnated

What advice can you give other upcoming artists?

The only advice i have for artist destined for greatness is expect no hand outs, Invest in yourself and grind everyday like you don't have a single dollar in your pocket.

How has life changed for you since becoming an artist?

Being in this industry showed me exactly what my pops was talking about and how fake these artist really are. I fell back from a lot, I don't worry about what the next person is doing and I'm in school for business administration and i study the music business daily so when being approached i know every trick in the book.

Have you had the pleasure of performing yet?

Yes I've had multiple paid shows since taking it serious has came in act.

Are there any artists/talent that you’ve worked with that we should be watching?

You can look out for my aunt GI Peachez (Soulja Slim Sister),  the ghetto children which features Me Young Juve (Juvenile Son), TeeWhy (BG son), Daniel Heartless and Neno Calvin. My Baton Rouge family Jiggaman Da Triggaman (Mobbfam), Telly Savalas (Money Hustle Music).
