What age where you when you decided to become anartist?

I'd sayaround 13. I danced hip-hop as a young kid and wrote lyrics in a littlenotebook so the love for music was always there. But when high school started,I knew that this was something I wanted to take seriously.

Name a few of your biggestinfluences in hip hop?

Gonna travel through my mind until Ican't think of any more: Eminem, Tech N9ne, ¡Mayday!, Jurassic 5, Busta Rhymes,Watsky, Jay Z, The Black Eyed Peas, The Roots, Outkast, Eric B & Rakim, andA Tribe Called Quest are the first things that come to mind.

Whatare some of the things you’re working on right now?

I'm currently working on a coupleremixes and an upcoming single. I've taken a month or two off of writing toreally settle myself and relax so I can come back out with an even bigger bangthan the previous time. New music is on its way!

Whatadvice can you give other upcoming artists?

"Quit. If they don't listen to me, then they're heading in the right direction."That's my favorite go-to response spoken by Bernz from ¡Mayday!. Regardless of what anyone says, do what you love. Don't letanyone stand in your way. When our time to leave this Earth comes, you don'twant to look back and wish that you could have done something differently. Beyourself and do you.

How has life changed for you since becoming anartist?

Music-wise,the opportunities have been insane. It's crazy how much exposure you can get byjust posting something online nowadays so I'm definitely taking advantage ofthat. But I'm still the same weird kid who ran from table to table inrestaurants singing his ABCs to diners. Really.

Have you had the pleasure of performing yet?

For sure. Ihave opened up for Rittz, Rehab, Matisyahu, Moon Taxi, and the Dirty Heads atThe Stone Pony and I have opened for King Los, Cory Gunz, Hi-Rez, Ill Bill, DJEclipse, and Q-Unique at Webster Hall. I also just performed at The Gramercyfor Reality Dance's Fall Jam.

Are there any artists/talent that you’ve workedwith that we should be watching?

I havebarely collaborated with other artists yet in my career but the firstcollaboration I did do was with Bennett Papier & Fiona Bradley on theirsong The Edge which can be seen on my YouTube channel. Bennett is an awesomeproducer and Fiona has some of the best pipes I've ever heard in my life. I'mcurrently working on a collaboration with an artist out of Lacey, Washingtonwho goes by the Jacob. He is one insane spitter so definitely be on the lookoutfor that song.

DIVA (@KeldaMuzik)

What age where you when you decided to become an artist?

I was about 16 years old when I made that decision but didn’t take it seriously until I was about 19. I started out doing a lot of modeling and acting, reading scripts and auditioning for commercials. It was definitely practice to get my stage presence on point.

Name a few of your biggest influences in hip hop?

I love Eminem, Left Eye, DaBrat, Luniz, E-40

What are some of the things you’re working on right now?

Right now I’m working on two music videos for two of my latest singles, “Queen For A Night” and “That’s Why”. Also working on going on another international tour.

What advice can you give other upcoming artists?

Always stay positive, rely on nobody but yourself. If you depend on others to make things happen for you, then you will certainly fail. Whether your signed to a major label or your an indie artist, have control over what you do.

How has life changed for you since becoming an artist?

Its definitely changed for the better, so much traveling, scheduling, meeting new faces and taking on new projects.  I love collaborating with artists, making music is like making a baby, lol sounds funny but its true..the outcome is just to beautiful of what two people can do together on the mic in the studio.

Have you had the pleasure of performing yet?

I’ve toured in Tokyo with R&B singer Lloyd, so that was already a life changing experience that I will never get. The fans in Tokyo are crazy, I love them and they love me too. I also did a few tours throughout the Caribbean with Jah Cure, Kirk Brown and Fucha Kid. Tapping into the islands is another good market because there are so many talented artists out there and the fans rave about American music all time.

Are there any artists/talent that you’ve worked with that we should be watching?

None right just concentrated on my art and music. I’ve collaborated with a few established artists such as Numskull from the Luniz and Jah Cure from Jamaica.

Since becoming an artist I've done things that I thought I never would able to do like perform before tons of people and meet famous people...other than that I still work like a normal person and live a normal life.

I had the opportunity to work with Brian Angel of P. Diddy's Bad Boy Records R&B group Day26 as his photographer a few times around the united states, even though he does not have MTV exposure anymore, he's still pushing out new material.
